Please be aware of the following:
- There is a local fire ban for the whole of the Gold Coast (including South Stradbroke) Please refer to the Rural Fire Service website https://www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au/Pages/Home.aspx for up to date information.
- There is also currently a state-wide fire ban for all national parks and forests that applies until 31 December 2019 https://parks.des.qld.gov.au/park-alerts/17500.html
- Finally, call 000 in any emergency and they will page the relevant service. Residents can also follow Wasp Creek Fire Rural Fire Brigade on Facebook.
